I think that I can clean anything faster than you can with your flip Excelerator. Would you be up for a friendly challenge?
I have been in this business for over 20 years. Not that that means anything.
However, I would like to bet that I can clean a store front with upper windows (requiring a pole), faster using an Ettore Backflip, than you using an Excelerator, and whatever else you like to use.
Would you be interested in a little competition?
(I have zero investment in Ettore, in fact I use Unger Sleeves, lol)
Just to be fair I do use the 18 almost all the time now. Iām sure it wonāt matter tho. ā¦ but Iād also like to show top edges. I can straight pull super fastā¦but I know that it looks like poop at the top if you arenāt cutting in. So speed and quality . Fair ?
Ok @Luke, here is my idea. I will video and time 3 different standard storefronts requiring pole work. I will then time how long it takes for each store from squeegee on to squeegee off. I will ācut-inā and only use my 18" just like you. And, I will record a visual inspection of each one to be sure that the work is done right. I believe we have the same standards.
I will take an average time based on those 3 storefronts.
And then I will send you my finished video.
Then, you do your best to match 3 of your own storefronts, video, time it, inspect, average time.
If you want to incorporate my video into yours, I am fine with that. And letās see who wins!
Cāmon @DanTheWindowMan
We are all waiting for the videos!
I personally use a backflip for all commercial sheet glass but have purchased a fliq after seeing how good they are at cutting in above doorways and around signs etc. I also like how light they are compared to the backflip but still not sold on the Liquidator 18ā. The 14ā is great for no detailing on smaller panels and feels pretty good in the hand.
The 18ā is still chattering for me but I have only had it a few days.
Im also not fully sold on the constant reapplying of solution to sleeve to get good results but will give it a little time to see how the system works as a time saver overall.
I really hope Iām not going to have to mod it to an Ettore channel for pole workš time will tellā¦
Anyways hurry up already we are excited!
I really donāt see it as a personal battle between u guys more of an analysis of both tools side by side in video, in direct comparison with a detailed assessment at finish providing the providing the pros and cons of each set up.
Batter up!
So I was sick with a cold, and I have been playing catch up with my work. I will get my half of the video done asap.
Definitely not a personal battle at all. I think both me and Luke have our techniques figured out, and I would like to compare the 2 tools. And competitions are fun!
Stay patient and stay tuned, I have never made a window cleaning video before, and will be relying on Luke for a lot (all) of the production. LOL
We also do not live nearby so we canāt just do it live, unfortunately.
Didnāt realize anyone was actually waiting for this, I will get on it right quick!
Thanks for the reply Dan!
I am really interested in this subject!
U guys both definitely kick some arse so Iām really just keen to see how the tools compare.
I certainly know how hard it is to record a video, I have a one year old and a three year old and I canāt even get a video done at home in less than a week let alone on site when trying to a actually work!
I have a few little tips that Iām keen to share after 18 years as a squeegee so I will post up ASAP. ļø
