Hey everybody! How is your year going?
This is going to be my first year in business. I’m going to start just by working on saturdays. Since I have a fulltime job. My goal is to go fulltime on my business spring 2023.
Hey @Alex ! Well good luck. Sounds like you’re starting the new adventure in a really smart way. I started with another job too.
So will you be focused on residential or commercial?
I will focus on residential for now. I’ve been cleaning windows full time for 4 years and now finally trying to pull the trigger on my own business.
Great! We are busier this year than last.
Are you guys increasing your prices because of the increase in gas prices?
That’s exciting! Congrats!
Booming!
We started increasing prices last year. This year again too
How about you?
Good to hear from you! Do you all have employees?
2 man crew
Yes, we had to increase our prices.
Slammed here as well. 6 days a week. Struggling to keep up with the office work and bids for new clients.
On the personal side, bought a new house with some land around it and that has required some major attention. Trying to find the balance between work and family is tough. @Luke How is your “new” house going. I recall you dropped the weekly vlog’s when you got it because it needed so much work.
Had to raise prices, but most of my clients are residential and retirees whose income is either fixed or drops when the market takes a hit, so I am trying to get as much money stashed away for the inevitable drop. So far, I’ve got two months of total monthly expenditures stored away, but fuel is taking huge bites out of that lately.
A complete remodel. Wew …almost finished. Cabinets are being installed tom, then the quartz tops. Waiting on our appliances and should just about be finished.
Your house turned out nice Luke! My wife and I want to also buy a house a remodel it on our own. But here in San Diego is very very expensive
We’ve been busy booked up for spring months working on summer now, need to hire, really.
As well you should be. House looks night and day different. Congrats.
Thanks man, been a ton of hard work
Great job on the house, a lot of work right there….looks awesome!
