Your favourite towel? For deatail and for cleaning, and polishing

Hello everyone.
I have 20$ to spend. What do I bye the new big unger ninja cloth? Or the big Unger scrim.
Give me the best option. What would you bye?

If you have 40 dollars not including shipping you can get 3 Xero fish scale towels for the price of 2. A single one costs 20 dollars. I love these but don’t drop these in water, some reason my water turned red when I accidentally dropped it in. However these dry in a vehicle insanely quick and are great for buffing and detailing.

If you are unsure, just buy a towel you want, then get the others later. You will naturally have equipment that you will like and don’t like. People can tell you all day long what to get and what not to get but it’s up to you to figure out your own preference. Rather than spend a bunch of time thinking, don’t. Just pull the trigger. Usually if you like something and are drawn to it, that’s a good choice.

I have a scrim the only thing its worked well for so far is a drop cloth. lol I think there is a trick to it and you have to prep the towel.

I prefer Huck Towels.

Scrim takes time to break in. And it’s very large. I actually love the material. Nothing dries faster and absorbs like irish linen. But the cut of fabric for me at least is just way too big. That’s why I have moved to the fish scale. Yes yes I know I could cut and hem the scrim but I’m lazy lol.

I got the scrim.
I’m using it for moping the ledge and seals for the moment.
So I’m breaking it in. I think it will be good once it is broken in.
I don’t know if I can bye fish scale in Australia.
But the unger Ninja cloth is good.

If u know someone old school you can cut the scrim down into 3 and they can hem the edges it goes over the shoulder well and is awesome for detailing. I just use blue scrim nowadays because I have so many and I didn’t like wasting scrim if u caught a rough edge and ripped it or detailed a dodgy silicone bead and coated the scrim (if that happens to a blue surgical u just ditch it).
But for using on reclean it is the shizniz!

Reanna loves the size of the scrim! If I were to use it I think I would cut it down. I think the xero fish scale towel is the perfect size.

I like the recycled surgical towels from windows101.com these are super absorbent, no lint and pre broken in. At this point they beat every other microfiber/ towel I’ve tried

30 years ago my wife used to cut my scrims into four and whip the edges on a sewing machine! Nowadays I am a big lad and can use a whole one. I have the largest Ninja cloths too but they wet up too quick and dry too slow. Natural beats man-made in this case. The Ninja corners are great for hooking over the pole or rubbing out marks and spots though.
The trick with scrim is to wash it hot after each day’s use with no soap. I used to boil mine in a saucepan years ago before they were sold pre-washed. The natural oils reject water otherwise.

They are only £6 each in UK for 3 foot square Unger scrim so no problem if they snag.
