Working without a business license

Hello all, new here. I was was wondering y’alls advice on working without a business license. I k ow what you’re all going to say but would it hurt to start cleaning windows here and there to save up for the big bill of starting your business legally. Money is tight now so I was wanting to do this part time on weekends for now as a second job until I could do it full time after growing my skills. Thanks

I would say not necessary, although i would get one as soon as you can afford it. that will allow you to have insurance which is a big deal to a lot of home owners and large companys.
doing jobs for mom and pop shops or home owners that do not ask for a COI, you should be fine.

Do you have an accountant? I would strongly advise getting one soon , I would turn to them for a lot of legal / licensing questions. At least ours is very helpful when it comes to that.
