Ok, I’ve only ever used one type of squeegee, I keep seeing and hearing on videos that people prefer wide over a different type for certain jobs, but don’t really ever specify why. Why would I use a wide channel at a business and a regular one at a house? The rubber is the same isn’t it?

Wide body channels are used more on larger panes as they hold their shape better at wider lengths and also get the pane cleaned at a faster rate. Also better for pole work.
Regular channels are lighter and less bulky and work well on smaller windows. Some still use wide body channels on residential but it’s still mostly standard channels used on resi.
