What’s your favourite harness and why?

I’m going to be doing some high dusting and need a harness for a lift. I’m looking at a 3m positioning harness for $130. It has thick shoulder pads so should be more comfy than ones I’ve used before.

Anyone else have any recommendations?

Pfft. Harness for a lift. What do you want to be? OSHA compliant?

I wear a Rigger’s belt with a Cobra buckle. If I am going to be up high, I clip in a short rope with a carabiner that clips onto the lift rail with about 4 ft of slack and the other end clips into a v ring on the belt. They run about $70, but I wear it as my normal belt and it can be used for emergency repelling even though there are no leg straps. My point of view is more of: it is less cumbersome and more comfortable to wear all the time and it is capable of providing the necessary function in the extremely rare event that I will need it, then I will get more use out of it.
