Tucker hybrid with Rinse bar

So, I just got my first tucker brush. Is there any advantage in using pencil jets over the rinse bar? Also, with the swivel, do I just leave the twist nut loose to keep the swivel function? Ever any trouble with this??

I have the Tucker Hybrid Alpha with rinse bar. Hydrophobic glass (glass where water immediately beads up and does not spread or sheet down the glass) needs to be cleaned with the rinse bar in order to get the most spread of the water on the glass. Hydrophylic glass, found more on residential cleanings can use “traditional” pencil jets. Pencil jets are the original technology for WFP and now we have OtTRB’s.

I actually use both simultaneously so I get the best of both worlds, but it requires a lot of water flow to do that. @Johnlee is probably the best source for experience with WFP’s and brushes.

As far as the swivel, it should function smoothly once broken in, even with the twist nut fully tightened. Snug it down and work it back and forth while watching TV or something. Think of it like a new baseball mitt, just gotta break it in and then it will work great.

Lol! I’m watching tv now and messing with it. Wish I could use it tomorrow but I don’t have my euro thread adapter yet. And yeah I’m sure @Johnlee could give some good advice, let me know what you think John, and thanks in advance!

I find the swivel good to use when you can not be under the window because of a bush or tree or roof line and need to adjust the angle of the brush. Otherwise I keep it in locked position. Thanks for being patient on that pole tip it should be in stock soon.

One thing that I’m really unimpressed with is the pressure reduction at the rinse bar. The streams don’t quite clear the brush all the time. (And yes, I know higher spread of water means lower pressure)

I was thinking of clogging up maybe every other hole to increase the pressure. Any downsides to this??

If that’s the case, I’d just go 4 pencil jets instead of rinse bar.
