I can’t get the rubber right in my Super Channel. I keep taking it out and putting it back in and have fixed it with a new rubber so many times it’s ridiculous. Today I was trying to straight pull with it and it was leaving water under the entire 9-inches on the left side of the 18-inch squeegee. It’s started leaving lines all the time, too. I don’t know how to get the rubber straight. I’ll post a video of me trying to use it yesterday when I get it uploaded and I’ll post a photo here just to show how it’s jacking up.
Can’t tell just from that pic but for starters, you’ve got a bit to much overhang on the end. If the end of the blade drags, it can affect at least a few inches in on a large squeegee.
Yeah I’d trim that end by a bit.
How much do you have sticking out of the end?
@Luke, I was talking to a friend who gave up on the Super Channels because he had the same problem. Is pulling it too tight the only thing that causes this?
Is that an 18 inch rubber? The photo I took is my 18 channel and rubber. Should fit like that.
@Luke, yeah that’s my 18". Thanks, man. That will help a lot. Is that the factory-cut rubber or did you cut it?
Do you stretch your rubber at all when you fit it to your squeegee?
Yes my rubber in that photo is factory cut. I do cut some for shorter lengths. I have a quick segment about it in the first 5 mins of this video. Hopefully it helps.
And no dont stretch your rubber . Should be cut to the proper length.
@AdamPWC and @Luke, thanks a lot guys. I just finished a job with my reset rubber and it worked amazingly well. No detailing at all.
Awesome man! Glad it helped
