Tracks and WFP

Hello everybody! although I’m new to the window cleaning industry I’ve been in the cleaning industry for the last 10 years. My wife and I own a cleaning company in Houston, Texas and we are introducing Window Cleaning. Now, the question is for WFP. For what I’ve seen some of you offer packages. Some packages include tracks (either dusted and/or wash), Let’s say a customer does not want to include tracks. If you are using a WFP you’ll be scrubbing tracks anyway right. so how do you deal with that situation. TIA

In my mind, tracks have two separate spaces, the area under the screen (exterior portion) and the area under the window (interior portion). When I am doing an exterior only WFP cleaning, obviously the screen needs to be removed, so in many cases I still have to go inside to remove the screen. I usually take this happenstance to say “Well I have to be inside anyway so we might as well do the interior and the tracks.” However, some clients will remove the screens themselves and/or do not have screens in their windows at all. In those cases the exterior window cleaning price includes a monetary margin to account for the time to clean the exterior portion of the tracks with the WFP. The interior portion, that which is under the window seal and within the balancer track frame is only done with an interior window cleaning.
