Sun Baked Grime

Here in New Mexico often first time cleans have build up on the windows that is very difficult to remove. It is not hard water, it is a sun baked build up from years of neglect. Does anyone have a product they use to remove years of baked on grime? For years I have successfully remove it with razor and steel wool it but I am looking to find a less labor intensive method to remove it. Any ideas?

Where are you in NM? I’m in Rio rancho. I’d just use a white scrubby pad. Mop the window, scrub, remop and squeegee.

I am in Abq. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll give that a try.

Yeah, it’s a pain, but I’ve never needed a razor or steel wool. I don’t like steel wool because it rusts so quick. Shamrocks on San Mateo has the white scrubbies for a good price.
