Starting on my own

Hello everyone …
Short history, I was a cabinetmaker ( still am ) and about 5 or 6 years ago we had a slowdown , and I took a job at a property services company , and really took to doing windows …I did that for about a year …. But after not agreeing with some decisions the company made and some of their policies ( mostly regarding safety on roofs… and unwillingness to invest in Watered poles… instead scrubbing with a brush and rinsing with a garden hose for example ( I squeegeed what I could get away with before being reprimanded haha… …
Anyways, I went back to cabinet making … but recently it has been sporadic , and honestly I am a little bored … so I am starting my window cleaning company … Luke, Reanna and steve-o were a great help back then , and they are now , again…
I had also learned a lot from wcr forum back then … so I thought I would join Luke’s forum as I start my new business … I plan on starting part time , partly residential and part storefronts , if I can build a route … I live near Vancouver , British Columbia, and do not get much snow .
I have been cleaning a few friends homes… to get back into it , and I am just getting insurance and all that this week …
I have ettore master brass , an ergotec ninja squeegee and ninja boab ( that I do not like haha) locally equipment is somewhat limited … but unger and ettore are available ( no 40 degree handles in stock )
I have 22” monsoon and 18” ninja sleeves, with matching unger handles( no swivel) , and can get golden gloves and micro tigers locally as well … but I plan on ordering from WCR a few other things…
I am trad only right now , but am adding water fed as soon as possible … even if it’s DI only to get started … the water around here is not too bad… we used to use it straight out of the spigot haha…
Everywhere I go , all is see is all the glass to clean … I am still figuring out a name and branding, but I really want to be handing out cards and info …
I also know a pressure washing only business that can give referrals ( the only do exteriors )
As well as one of the general contractor we work for does work for a company that owns over 40 franchise locations … so I may be able to secure some contracts that way as well … I’m working on a shoestring , but pretty confident it will be going good soon …
I most imagine I will have many questions , and look forward to interacting .
Thanks again to Luke and Reanna
