Start of a new Journey

Sounds like you have a great plan of action and you are off to a great start. There is a large Fish office here in the area as well. It seems to me that there is more competition from other solopreneurs who follow or have similar operations to Luke, Reanna, Keith Kalfas, WCR, etc. than from large window companies here in San Diego.

How many cold calls do you think you were doing each day during the first and second weeks?
Also, what type of dollar amounts have you had luck with this past couple weeks? Have you been lucky enough to charge $2/window for plaza and storefront accounts?

I am thinking of targeting plaza, storefront, strip malls and restaurants in the beginning since I do not have a WFP or ladder yet.

Congratulations on landing the commercial cleaning job. We just got out of the commercial cleaning industry. We had a franchise and were cleaning around 40 business on a monthly, weekly, or even 2, 3, and 5x/week clients. We avoided 7x/week clients such as restaurants. However, commercial cleaning is stuck at charging $20-25/hour which makes it hard to operate a business and still pay the local minimum wage of $11.00/hr. Good luck with that client. Just communicate if you have to miss any cleans. Really try to get a key and alarm code. Create a contract with an in depth scope of work. I can send you a copy of the contracts we used which were very all inclusive and used for thousands of clients nationwide. Also, the standard minimum for 2x/month cleaning for commercial businesses is $150/month or $75 per clean. If you can get in and out in less than 2 hours each clean which is possible for any business under 5000 Square feet, then it can be fairly profitable. Invest $500 or so dollars in some used cleaning equipment and you can make some decent money. Just know that the entire industry is capped at about $25/hour even here in California.

What are your first quarter goals, if I may ask? Today was going to be my first day in the field trying to get things going but we had an unfortunate day. So my anxiety is building a little for tomorrow. hahaha.

Proud of you. You must have stepped out of the comfort area this past two weeks.
