Squeegee getting dry in the middle of a window

While I’m cleaning windows my squeegee goes dry if I take it very far out of the wet surface of the window. For example, if I’m wiping a window and I leave an unsqueegee’d portion I bring my squeegee higher on the next pass to cut it down, but my squeegee often gets dry, starts to skip, leaves marks and everything. I’ve seen people post online and they just don’t have this problem at all. What am I missing?

Rule of thumb

While Fanning , try to have no more than about 3 inches or so of dry blade on the glass. Focus on keeping more of the blade in the solution. Also you may want to try adding a little bit more soap.

@Luke, what if you miss a spot higher on the window? Do you just wet it down and go back over it? I seriously appreciate all of the help. Without all of these questions answered for me I would have a much harder time with this.

If it’s in direct sun and the glass is hot I probably wouldn’t. With 2 hands this wouldnt be a problem.

No worries man happy to help!
