Soft washing ad on

Any of you guys offer soft washing in your window cleaning biz? We just did our first soft washing last weekend and are considering adding this in 2019.

Haven’t really advertised but do a few bits for people with the WFP when required.
What have u been cleaning @Luke? Roofs? Building sides/cladding/eaves?
I am definitely keen but I am going to do my research as obviously a lot more can go wrong with chemicals…
Are you just using the 1-3% hs solution?
I like the idea of possibly starting a seperate business and linking the 2…

I am a soft wash company that added window cleaning. Be glad to help if you have any questions.

Thank you! We may take you up on that offer. When did you add window cleaning ?

So far we just practiced on a family members home. Washed the vinyl siding and gutters. Had great results and will be practicing on other family members homes here soon lol.

Did you use a solution of hs or just pure water? @Luke

Hey @roofcleaner a few quick questions w…

  1. Which surfaces do you find most popular with customers.
  2. Which surfaces respond the best/give the best result.
  3. Which surfaces do you find most lucrative!
Sorry for the barrage of questions!

Started a little last year, and offer it to every house and roof wash this year.

@Lewsqueegee
As far as which surface is most popular, it all depends on what they need done. It is almost 50/50 with roof washing and house washing. Both surfaces we can make look almost like new. Each one gives a huge WOW factor when we are don.
Most times roof cleaning is more lucrative. but some house washes can be really good also.

We are seriously thinking about getting into soft washing also. Seems like a great add on.

I started out just window cleaning and then on the suggestion of a friend added pressure washing/soft washing. It has grown for me to now being about 75% of my business.
I do most of my cleaning with a pressure washer using low pressure tips, but if you don’t clean concrete you can accomplish a lot with just 12 volt pumps for a soft wash set up. Though it would not be my preference.
Just cleaning vinyl siding or maybe the occasional roof I could see it being a nice add on. You would just have to pick and choose what you do if you aren’t using a pressure washer.
What route were you thinking about?

I also am a wash company that added windows. I got two years of flat work and 1 season of house washing (amongst a couple other things) bout 3 years total… so if theres anything I can help with, dont hesitate to ask. That goes for you too @Luke … softwashing is pretty cool, I learned about it over at the pwra and started doing that. It’s honestly really easy. Some people like to complicate it, but it’s easy none the less. Luke are you using a pressure washer with downstream injector or are you getting into the world of 12v pumps ?

Softwashing will do 90% of the work on those exterior windows too ! I’m sure you already figured that out, hence why your doing it Haha. Good luck to ya, keep us informed on what you decide to do and how you’re doing it. Some of us here who DO pressure washing mainly, will save you allot of money. That industry is a money pit. Lol

Do it man. Its cake. It’s the industry’s best kept secret. You’ll make so much more cash. But be ready to shell out like 5 to 10k your first season.

Thanks

I’m interested in this as an add-on. I spoke with several vendors at the HUGE and got some information.

Just a pressure washer and downstreaming. It seems very straight forward and very profitable. We are going to continue practicing on family homes and most likely go all out on pushing it in spring 2019.

Cool @Luke , from what I heard Brody say in past threads at pwra, theres not many pressure washing companies in kc? So if you keep doing it and figure it out, you should be able to make some good money competing with the few that are already there. But I would suggest keeping it simple. Because if you dont, you wont be luke the window cleaner anymore, you’re going to be luke the pressure cleaner lol ! Pressure washing is THE biggest money pit, I have EVER experienced (even worse than my trucks and bikes lol) my wife couldnt even handle how much mail and packages came in to the house and or shop this past summer, and every time she gave me the look, because she knows these packages weren’t just sent to me for free :joy:. However I’m glad I’m doing it… anyway, if you ran a pickup bed type rig with a Smallish buffer tank, 5gal bucket for mix, like a 4gpm @4k psi belt driven pressure washer; you wont have to go all out and crazy with a trailer and a million things to buy. Also you could get by with either rolling hoses by hand or if you want to really rig out your truck, you can get some reels.
But it all really depends on how hard you wanna push this ya know ? Like I said, you’ll become luke the pressure washer quick lol. Let me know if you want pics for ideas, because that was how I started out once I figured out how to efficiently run it all from my truck and not have to keep loading and unloading equipment (lol I was a super newb)

That’s cool. It is a terrific add on to window cleaning. My best hourly rate jobs are alway house was and exterior windows. You can do a lot out of the back of a truck.

This was my first window cleaning truck. Had tons of room for all my gear, 4 gpm machine and a couple house reels. I actually miss the simplicity of this truck, it was great. Now I have a trailer with so much stuff I can’t find anything :joy:
