Problem with tinted windows

It took me three hours to clean eight panes yesterday because I would mop in up then squeegee it, but it would dry while I was squeegeeing. By the time I finished squeegeeing a chunk of the window and went to detail it, it was all dry and I could get the dried water cleaned up. It was tinted on the outside of the window and seriously gripped the squeegee even with plenty of soap. I used a Liquidator and it would even let that work right, so I went to a Super Channel and it just wouldn’t give any glide.

Has anyone ever worked with a tinting like this? I’m sure it was the tinting because other windows yesterday I had no problem with.

I have seen self cleaning windows act like this. But we use a wfp so drying fast is not a problem. But the drag is horrible.

Practice doing it where you mop and squeegee at the same time this is super important to learn because of these situations. I personally don’t like using the liquidator on these types of windows. Also if you have a clean micro fiber and just ever so slightly wet it you can detail the edges and should leave the window clean.

I don’t usually have problems with liquidators on tint, but try not to fan windows too hard and apply very little pressure, and only use dish soap! no ammonia or alcohol!

But for an easier time i just straight pull with wide a wide body channel like, Sorbo, Unger Ninja, or Ettore Super Channel on small regular windows. With tint it is much slower as you cannot fan as fast as on naked glass. If you need to fan, such as door walls and picture windows it is much easier IMHO with wide bodies.

@Gorgon632, thanks for all of your replies. I appreciate it.
