I have a new storefront that wants tint removed on 30 square size pieces of glass. There’s two 3 by 3 walls that have squares maybe a few feet long and tall. Then there are two 2 by 3 walls with slightly smaller squares. What would you charge to detint 30 panes of glass?

A LOT! Tint is nothing to play around with, you don’t always know how long it will take. I try to avoid it if I can, will do it though, but it cost.

Agreed! We have actually stopped offering tint removal this year. Unless something very small. We had a storefront with two normal shop doors that wanted the tint removed. $75.00.
Charge a lot! Could be fast…could be a very time consuming job.

How much like 10-20 dollars per square?

Had a chat with an installer, they charge $85 per hour because there is no way of knowing how long it could take.

Excellent. Thank you for that information. I will have to pass it on to the shop owner. If the owner has a hard time believing my actual time if the service is purchased, I will just record myself doing the service and ask if he wants to watch the whole thing if there is a debate about it. Its a yoga studio, its empty most of the day too.
We’re at least 80.00 an hour, but most of the time 95.00 hour for tint removal.

Could also be slow, stinky work when u hit some bad glue!

I’ve only done tint removal once. Lost my butt on pricing! Make sure you have good fresh blades if you do it. …ugh!!!
