I own a pressure washing company in NY and I’ve honestly never heard of that. If you have any other pressure cleaning related questions I’m here to help !

And pressure washing resource is a great forum, but people there are very stuck up… make sure you use the search bar and do a decent amount of reading into the subject before you post a topic. They are NOT very kind to newcomers. Lol.

We aren’t new to pressure washing but this was the 1st time we had to tackle a home covered in fire retardant. It also was the 1st time we are being paid by an insurance company. It was an interesting experience that’s for sure. It took my husband and his guy 5 days of pressure washing. cleaning trees, decorative rocks, ladders and patio furniture. We did end up figuring out how the company wanted it to be billed.

And @JoeyGee , I have been on some sites where the people are so stuck up and not very nice to new comers and sometime they are that way with experienced cleaners. It drives me nuts the way some of them are. Even when we are out in the field we have come across window cleaners that act like way. We are all here to help each other and learn from each other. I want to tell some of these guys to get off their high horse. Thank you for your suggestions and your help. And thank you for not being one of those douches on some of these sites! :joy:

@ABetterView it’s a shame that it’s like that. I dont understand putting people down. We all sucked at window cleaning at one time and we all asked “dumb” questions. I’d rather try and and give constructive criticism and honestly help instead of tearing people down.

I’ll tell ya one thing I’ve never seen on pwra. The guys sitting around bashing a partner forum. While it’s sometimes hard to see through the malarkey, that forum and it’s people have never let me down. Ive called members on their personal phones many of times to bounce around Ideas and solve problems. The core group of guys offer their experience freely to new people. They dont like when you have 5 minutes of read time and you ask a question that’s been asked 100 times and could easily be answered with 5 minutes of effort. I think it’s a fair trade off.

I’m sorry that you feel that way but I’m willing to bet that if you took a few weeks to read you would find more information on that site than you could learn in 1 full year of washing on your own.

Sorry to make this my first post but I felt it was neccessary to share a positive experience. I’m new to windows as we are branching out and expanding our services and I’m trying to have a firm grasp on glass before attempting to sell the service. Give the pwra a second chance. Once you understand the people a little better I’m positive you will find value in its members experience.

I’ve seen you on there before and your pretty cool but I stand by my statement. I have almost 2 days of read time on pwra yet I’m still met with rude unproffesional antagonistic comments from the same few people and it’s annoying. Lol.

And this is Luke’s forum. Not a partner forum to pwra… however window cleaning resource IS… I honestly do not beleive for a second that @Luke would let those types of people run amok on his forum the way PWRA allows the same THREE people to conduct themselves like they own the forum just because they know the ppl who DO… the owners of the pwra allow these same few people to turn peoples topics into useless arguments on an abnormally regular basis, and they do nothing to curb their infectious trouble making. Admins also do nothing to punish these people. In 2 years time the pwra will have a bunch of useless topics and will be no help to anyone. Because the same couple troublemakers will come into a topic, start trouble and insult other people and then when you push back they tag their friends so that their friends who happen to be moderators; SHUT DOWN THE TOPIC… to me that’s and I quote. “The most pathetic gathering place for human garbage on the web”…

I could be wrong tho, it could be a partner forum. But I’m speaking the truth like I always do, I just feel more comfortable doing it here because i wont be harrassed and attacked here. this place is NOT the pwra…

This is a 100% independent of all other forums. We partner with wcr all the time and are proud to do so.

I bet ! Wcr is awesome!! Wcr and your forum have done nothing but help and make me feel extremely welcomed into the industry… this forum and the wcr is a real class act. I feel extremely happy to be here and I love the two forums. Dont get me wrong I do like the pwra I dont mean to bash it, but it is what it is. Some of the people over there are not very kind / professional, and they get away with it

The way I was welcomed HERE versus the way I was welcomed there, are night and day. Here I was welcomed and given any helpful info I asked for. Over there, my first day, I was met with total and utter disrespect, and hate; told because I was new; that I should quit and keep my day job and was ridiculed because of the sub par equipment I was using at the time; instead of being helped and advised of what I should have been doing. Lol. And the irony was that the people bullying me were claiming to be proffesional and stating that I wasnt welcome there because it was “a forum for professionals” lol

@JoeyGee aka Yocreps the guys on pwra dont like when you repeatedly swear and are vulgar. I struggle with it myself and catch grief for it often. That being said they are also big on respect. Old timers get set in their ways. Nothing you do is going to change that. All I can suggest is taking the time to research before asking a basic question. It makes things go alot smoother.
@Luke I was mistaken about the affiliation of your site and I apologize. Still doesn’t make it right to bash other forums, or condone it. I have nothing but respect for you. Your videos are basicly the foundation of my window knowledge. That being said I dont feel like the window guys and the pressure washing guys have enough respect for each others. After trying to learn both from the ground up I have a whole new respect for window guys. Both professions seem to have there own challenges.

I appreciate the knowlage and chance for discussion. Looking forward to learning alot more from you guys. @Luke love the forum thanks for taking the time to make it. Tons of great stuff on here. I’m learning alot.

Well thank you very much. And please feel free to ask away if you have any questions . Some weeks I’m not able to on as much as I’d like but that’s the great thing about having the fourm, other pros can help out. I’m not going to moderate this fourm very much. I like to speak freely and I’m sure others do as well. I think a good rule of thumb is I just want to see folks treat others as they want to be treated.

The full time window guys def have my respect. In the short time I’ve been doing windows, I’ve learned the reality of what it is they do and it’s not easy. You cant just be anyone off the street and expect to do a good job. Def takes a lot of practice.
