What is your policy on “no soliciting” signs on store fronts when canvasing for new business? While I don’t feel my approach is high pressure selling as much as introducing myself, offering a business card and simple pitch- it is soliciting.
I feel like most would ignore the sign; heck, the people working there may not even be aware it’s there.
I’m just curious what others do, or have done in the past?
Thanks. First post.Great YT videos, Luke and Reanna.
I was taught in two different marketing jobs that when a person puts “No Solicitation” on their door, most times it means they have a hard time saying “NO” themselves. So they use a sign on the door as a deterrent. I don’t know if it’s just some myth trainers tell the new people.
My policy is to never cherry pick, something else I was taught. You have no idea who has money or not or who would use our services.
Even if it’s an auto garage with no windows, I still go in and give them a flyer. But in that case I let them know I also do residential, if they want to give clean windows as a gift to grandma or someone.
