David when I started using the liquidator with excellerator handle I had issues to. I watched video after video because i wanted it to work. Here are a few things I noticed many videos say you need more soap but I was adding to much, just make sure the glide is good and don’t over think this like I did. I also tried learning when I was in my busy season so I was trying to just go fast, once I slowed down played with the angle I was using and amount of pressure needed that helped. But a big thing I cut my own rubber and had cut these not perfect and that really caused issues. If you cut the ends to much of a point they don’t stay in place and will leave streaks or it will not be held in place correctly. I also use the Unger plastic clips because the rubber was moving slightly. Also I personally stoped using Ettore rubber it felt to sticky I personally found the Moerman or black diamond worked best. Just remember you need to develop new muscle memory once you get it you will be set. Moerman channels are all I use now.
