New business work vehicle

Question, Just got home from a deployment so fortunately I was able to save up around $10,000. I will be using all of these funds to start up my business. I will primarily concentrate on storefront/ commercial and work my way into residential. I am looking at two work vans. One is a 2007 Dodge Caravan that is converted to a commercial van. Plenty of cargo room and low miles 39,000 miles no rust at all. Second option is a Ford transit 2012 55,000 miles likewise condition. The Transit Will cost me a couple more thousand. My question is which one would you guys go with, my concern with the Dodge Van is is looks like a personal vehicle maybe less professional?? Do residential customers judge your appearance on the vehicle?? It’s clean and white but looks like a soccer moms ride lol image image

Thank you for your service !

If it was me I’d go with the transit. They are great work Van’s. My brother has one and its seems real nice. I think appearance goes a long way. But I also think living within your budget is more important. It’s nice to see you’re buying the vehicles out right.

Both are solid work vans. Dodge was the first mini van so they have been around a long time. Make your decision on what’s best for you, the customer does not base their decision on what you drive as much as they do on your first appearance.

I like the transit myself but do what’s best for your budget. If you can afford it I’d go with the transit, put some vinyl decals and you are ready to go, will look professional too. We have a truck ourselves, but I’ve been eyeing out those transits. Much success with your decision!

Hey “First Shirt” from a fellow NCO, thank you for your service!
By now I am sure you purchased a vehicle.
My question would be which one is your wife likely to drive? Go with the opposite one as you will need a vehicle your not having to move stuff in and out of.

I would love to here which one you ultimately ended up purchasing as we are now considering a 12’ trailer or another vehicle to replace my 2001 Chevy Astro w/259,000 miles. …she is still running great!
