Anyone have any ideas?
Are you using Ettore rubber if not switch to master rubber. The line is from something on the rubber or a nick in it.
@Johnlee, no Iām using Moerman rubber. How would you compare Ettore rubber to Moerman rubber?
Agree with @Johnlee, maybe a nick in your rubber, make sure you are putting enough pressure on the glass too. Is it a new rubber? We use Ettore, we like them.
@SimplyCleanKentucky, the rubber was new. This was the first window I had cleaned of the day and I had just put a new rubber on just before.
@Stoneface sometimes the rubber has a little nic in it or something caught in the channel (dog/human hair/lint etc) remove the rubber and wipe out the channel thoroughly then inspect the rubber at the location that the streaks are occuring.
Try flipping the rubber or swapping it to check if that is the problem first.
I have just started playing with the Moerman fliq and found it is much more prone to leaving lines initially compared with a Ettore backflip hence the reason Luke and Steve-O (and I when I get around to it) modified theirs to carry Ettore channels.
After using the fliq/accelerator channels a few times usually it wears in and tracks (creates lines) less. The rubber is different to Ettore (Ettore is the best! ), but if an Ettore rubber has a nic or debris caught in the channel u will get the exact same problem.
Also, try to set your camera up on a tripod or table etc and use both hands on the pole especially as you are new to it.
Hope this helps
Hope this helps.
I have put new rubbers on before that had a nic in them. If u have a good relationship with the company u purchased it from get it swapped for a new one no problem
