Do you have a price per pane?

Like Luke said, figure out your price per pane then just multiply it by the number of pieces of glass regardless if it is one of the narrow/skinny ones or one of the doors. A pane is a pane is a pane. Some guys go with $1 per pane per side. I charge $1.25 per pane, but I also use a water fed pole so it goes a lot quicker. I would charge more for the 3rd level panes though since you may need a ledger tool to properly close those out with a pole and those are going to take some extra time.

I do not. I was thinking $3-4 dollars. Maybe that’s too high though. I have only done houses so far. This will be my first business. We’re a commercial cleaning company that is just getting into window cleaning, fairly recently. This is one of the businesses that we provide cleaning and janitorial services to, daily. They are currently using someone else for their windows, but they asked me for a quote and it being my first business, I’m pretty nervous to quote it wrong.

Luke, do you think $3.00 per pane is too much? I counted 140 panes. This will be on a monthly basis.

3 per pane is just fine but what you need to account for is this… the high level windows! If your not experienced or not skilled in pole work then those windows will take you all day… not being negative but with large jobs like that… being fast and efficient at pole work can be the difference from spending 2hrs vs spending 6 or 7

I think $3 is fair.

This is true. The nice thing about a job like this is they’ll learn pole work quite quickly.

I recommend straight pulls. Don’t get fancy at first.

Yeah straight pulls are a great beginners entry into pole work… even as you progress more and get more experienced… sometimes straight pulls are the most efficient option in certain cases. Like steve o says… their is nothing wrong with some straight pulls every now and then.
