Moisture/water inside the window

Does anyone know how and why water gets inside the window itself. I’ve seen it on 2 houses as of now. How can i prevent it and is there a way I can get it out?

Single pane or double glazed?
Sometimes the seals aren’t tight enough and if you are using water fed, it’s enough to find those gaps and fall inside the property.
I have a commercial where this happens, I now open the windows just slightly and now the water runs around the framing and I don’t get the water going inside.
Otherwise, if you can’t gain access you need to remember which windows do this so if you come back to the property. When you clean the affected windows make sure the water jets are lower than the seal/top of the window.

That is called IG glass with Argon gas sealed between 2 Panes of glass for insulation. Over time and with certain organic reasons the seal will break and cause the inside to fog up. There are some companies that can fix this but it’s risky. Best to replace the sash.

Sorry about bringing up an old thread, but saw this in my recommended threads.
Moisture inside of double glazed or triple glazed insulated glass units (IGUs) as johnlee said is most likely due to the seal over time breaking and allowing normal moisture from the air inside which condenses in hot cold cycles of the environment. The companies who remove that moisture do so by drilling a hole into one corner of the outer glass so they can pump dried air and a desiccant to absorb the moisture to make them clear again. Everyone should be careful if you come across these as the valve they put in the hole afterwards may still allow moisture to enter from a water fed system if it is pressing against it.
If seen these windows where they are claimed to be fixed but the insulation value isn’t restored. Best to replace the IGU or entire sash assembly.

If you do come across foggy windows and the homeowner asks you what can be done, most pvc and aluminum window frames can have the glass stops removed and a new igu installed without removing the frame or any finishes. Most window companies don’t tell you that, because the money is in the frames, and full replacements.
