Microfiber towels or paper towels

Hi my friends. Sergio Cristalclean from Chile.
When I started this business, I used to clean the edges of the windows with microfiber towels, but I ruined many. Today I am using paper towels. Is there any problem with this? I ask him why all the videos I see use gender towels.
regards

Rags are washable and so they are reusable. What seems to ruin your microfiber towels?

thanks for your answer. I can clean the edges of 3 or 4 windows and after that they start to stain. Can towels already have a lot of use?
But more than that, have you tried with paper towels?

Well, before I was a window cleaner by trade, I’d use paper towels and windex but not now of course. I’m assuming you’re just detailing the edges with paper towels. If that stains up your rags to much, they must be super dirty window frames.

I personally use microfiber rags and terry towels. Yes, they do get dirty throughout the day but I just wash and dry them at home. I use scent free/dye free laundry soap to wash, then no dryer sheets or fab softener when drying. Works great.

People say the scrim towels are best but I haven’t tried them yet.

Paper towels will leave a static discharge and lint behind. Scrims, microfibers, terry towels, huck towels would be a step up.

What I do is I detail the sides of the windows first with a lighter towel, then I use a ledger to get the bottom sill of the window and have all the water go off and wipe with a more absorbent or heavy towel. I keep them separate.
