Make Your Mark (marketing seminars)

Has anyone here taken a marketing seminar by Colin Sprake?

If so, just wondering your experience and whether you would recommend it or not?

I’ve never heard of it

Don’t waste your time. Get out there and knock on doors, seminars are for making money for the host.

Go outside and just pound the pavement. You will be miles ahead of anyone sitting in a seminar.

Agreed. Most of it is just hard work.

It’s something I already bought on a recommendation from another cleaner.

Once I got there, they had everyone sign a “Waver”/NDA/Media Release, so I can’t say much about it, but I will say I walked out after 3 hours of what was (in my opinion) pure manipulative pandering drivel.

The terms of service say if you don’t show up, they can charge you $100 for a no-show fee as well as if you have a plus-1 and they don’t show up. I already have my banker on notice about that.

I learned literally nothing new. The best idea he had, I heard from Joshua Latimer. The whole thing made me think of a super high pressure time-share sales pitch.

I’ve been to many courses before and non of them began with a waver or an NDA or a media release.

I’m using my time I booked off for the “course”/complete waste of time to design my next marketing campaign cause I’m running out of deliverables.

Sorry to hear you wasted your time with that. You are much better off learning for yourself hands-on, trial and error, and chatting with the guys in a group like this. I have checked out other online groups for good information and this is the only one I have found it worth sticking with so far.

I haven’t tried WCRs though lol!

All good.

I’ve taken it as a relatively cheap lesson and I wouldn’t have booked the time off to get my new designs finished anyway, so I’ve made the best of it.

Postcards (Joshua’s idea) are designed and out for print right now and I’ll be delivering them by next week once they arrive.
