So last week I had done a few jobs. Having suffered from depression my head sometimes goes AWOL.
Next day I get to my first first job only to discover I have no small ladder!! Where is my 3 step ladder??
No idea. Go back to my clients from the day before, no joy. No-one has phoned saying " oh your ladder is at my place".
A week on, still no idea where it is.
My light hearted question is - what’s the craziest thing you’ve lost at work?? Or what do often mislay ?
Or is it just me…?
Nope not just you buddy! Left my phone on top of the truck last year. Got on the highway and looked back to change lanes and saw my phone fly off lol.

Hey @Giles don’t worry your definitely not the only one! I have also left behind a small step ladder once but the thing I have left behind most is POLES! 
They are so easy to lose if you don’t have a system in place. Never carry more poles than needed in the tray and if you ever lose one you will know where it is…at the last job (I had a habit of keeping spares in the tray but it just breeds complacency)!
It is ok to carry a variety of different poles (Ettore 2 piece for single storey,Ettore 3 piece 2 storey and a large Unger 3 piece for 3 storey) but just no duplicates as it will not be missed unless u check everything everytime u leave every job.
I also had my brother run over my phone while at work 2 
Just yesterday I almost drove of without my ladder due to being in a rush.
Best tip I can give is don’t rush.
On the tools, in the car and just in general.
(I got flashed by a speed cam the other day too rushing from 1 job to another.
So allow plenty of travel time and try to charge accordingly so u don’t put pressure on yourself to make hourly rate.

Lol! I’ve left my pivot ladder block, ladder stabilizer, a DI tank, still missing a pole. I think some of us need to tether tools to the truck!
Now where is my laddermate?!
