I’m looking for videos on how to squeegee (not mop or use it in any other way) a window with a Liquidator. I’ve recently gotten some pretty good tips from SteveO and Jordie, but am looking on fanning help. I star to leave very noticeable lines when I get to the outside and turn it when I go to draw it back in. Any help would be appreciated.
Same here as well with my EXCELERATOR. I’m new to it and it’s aggravating!
Have either of you watched polz n bladz ?
He has a ton of videos on it…hell he invented it
Polz n bladz is a mythical man, about as rare as they come for this sort of thing. I learned a lot in the past from his videos.
Bob is an amazing window cleaner. Very good at what he does.
There are several styles of window cleaning. Extreme precision and perfection without the need of detailing is Bob’s specialty.
I’ve watched several of his videos. I watched this one by Jordie yesterday before going out and it helped me more than any other I’ve ever watched.
Thanks bud. Glad it helped.
My series - For The Love of Liquidator was designed to show how to overcome the problems with the tool, not just montages or tutorials. There are 3 different playlists on my channel about the tool.
As far as the lines go, which video was it that helped?
Try more “travel” strokes. These strokes help “de-saturate” the rubber, so there isn’t as much solution on it when you make your turns.
“Up and Under” and “Flick”, are two other techniques that help.
Make sure your solution is not watery either. Soap directly to the pad and keep it thick.
I still get lines sometimes. It’s just a matter of either making another pass, drying up the rubber, or thickening up solution a bit.
Changing rubbers twice as often as normal is another Best Management Practice.
@TheWindowCleanse has some great videos on this subject !
Well I watched Polz n Bladz a ton and helped out tremendously! Thanks guys for all the suggestions and support! It’s nice to come in here and have good input and not people talking down to people!
Only thing sucks is it’s time for me to head back out for my normal job for two weeks! So no practice! I work on a oil and gas platform in the gulf.
@TheWindowCleanse, I can’t find the video, but it’s of you making deep, downward strokes with your squeegee to dry the rid the excess water before makes a repass. It works awesome. I haven’t tried to finish beneath yet. I don’t really understand why, so doing it would be silly.
In one video you said you hadn’t trimmed the edge of the rubber to contour to the Liquidator because you had heard it may do better. What did you find out on that?
Found it.
I went back to trimming it.
The under neath Flick is just an extension of the travel stroke. The objective is to dry the rubber just a bit more on the glass.
