Ladder suggestions

Hey everyone…so I no longer own a truck. Just recently purchased a Subaru Outback, so I can no longer carry an extension ladder. I’m concerned with getting two story homes and not having a ladder. Are there any suggestions on how to effectively clean them both with and without a ladder? Also, any suggestions on a ladder that would be easily transported in a crossover? I am starving a pic of what it looks like.

There is telescopic extension ladder you can buy. I know Lowe’s has them I think that extend to 16’. You might be able to find one longer. It collapses to about 3’

Any reason you can’t out crossbars on top? The tailgate might be a pain… like my old Corolla - ladder had to come off no matter what.

Put ladders on your roof rack.

And if you are consistently doing 2 story houses, you should invest in a water fed pole system.

I don’t currently have cross bars, which in the grand scheme, wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Currently, I don’t have very many jobs and am only doing this part time, as I’m a full time teacher. So wfp system isn’t in the budget. My concern is that a lot of homes have an open ceiling layout in the living room, thus the need for a tall ladder.

I ended up stacking and securing a few thick aluminium bars to rear bar so that ladder sat higher in the rear, allowing the tailgate to open. It looked a little funky, but worked.

Creative functionality! Gotta love it!

So I just realized (last night) when doing some research for cross bars, this car has the cross bars, but they fold away…so I’ll be taking a look at them to see how they work.

If you’re only doing this part time, I suggest just not taking on a job where you need to set up a ladder inside. I haven’t had to set up a ladder inside yet and I almost never get on ladders period. Use a pole to access higher windows indoors and be very careful with it.

I have a 17’ little giant ladder which fits in the passenger side front seat of my corolla folded up. I like it a lot.
