Insurance?

I’m new to window cleaning and am trying to come up with the money to get insured and bonded. It’s going to take me several weeks to get to that place, but if I go and get a few jobs I could probably get it in a few days. Would you go without getting insurance or do you consider insurance and bonding a must before getting started? I can’t see how washing the windows on a few storefronts would be a major liability for anything.

I would highly recommend getting that insurance asap. Its Extremely affordable and you dont want to be operating without it. You never know what could happen.

Most insurance companies will let you break down your payments over time. Have you checked with Joseph Walters Insurance? http://josephdwalters.com/

@Johnlee, thanks. I’ll check them out.

@Johnlee What does it make Joseph Walters better from regular insurance company? I’m new to window cleaning also, I need to get license and insurance as well!! I heard a couple of people mentioning Joseph Walter. Is it more affordable? My local agency said it’s $1.300.00 year for liability and covers 1.000.000/2.000.000?

Insurance is a must. It covers you, and if someone were to get hurt on a residential clean. Business license go to your local state office in most places it shouldnt be that expensive. A regular business licsense is good, a LLC protects your personal property if anything should happen. Keep at it, everyday is a learning experience. One hurdle will lead to the next and every hurdle you face will make you that much more confident in yourself and others will see it also.

If you are hiring employees look into workmans comp too. State laws are different on this manner.

Ron they specialize in pressure wash and window cleaning so the policy has more of what is called custom care.
