How to Price small restaurants help

Hello I need some advice on how to price eating restaurant’s.
There is about 10 windows I canvassed it a few days ago and asked 70$ for a one of clean or 45 per month she called back today and said they want it done weekly but only want to pay 10$ I should not discount to that price. Do I do a better deal that 45 per week or what is the is the price to charge for that kind of work. The more I’m getting into this there is different pricing for residential, commercial to store front and restaurants?? Any advice or help I would appreciate as I’m new to this

10 windows I’d be at $25 in and out. $20 is my minimum even if they have 2 windows. $10 isn’t going to happen.

Assuming this is route work and you don’t have to drive thirty minutes to get there.

It will be route work. I will be going back to the negotiating I think. And will aim for 25-30$ weekly.
It is a nandose they have another store and they have a window cleaner that dose that for 10$ a week but it is just to low that is my opinion.

I agree 10 is to low but some things to consider. That’s 5200 a year income for you. Do you already have a route in the same area every week? Or would you have to make a trip there every week just for 10 bucks. Is it a ma and pa business or a chain Corp? Put yourself in there shoes if it’s a ma and pa store. Maybe they will work with you on price and schedule that works for both of you.

I wouldn’t low ball weekly. Yeah it’s good money but it sucks up time in your schedule. Every other week is more flexible especially during residential season.

Excellent job with finding an interested prospect. Now was the $45.00 for the month for just outside or inside and outside? 10 dollars per week even for outside only is far too little. With your commute, cost of chemicals and tax, you would be lucky to break even. You would be paying money to work. $520.00 yearly isn’t enough for weekly work. If they want service but not monthly, offer weekly exterior only, weekly exterior and interior, biweekly exterior only and biweekly exterior and interior. If they want to do an inside cleaning once or twice a month but not every week, offer that. So in theory you are now not offering them one price, you are offering multiple. I would break it down like this.

Weekly outside only $20.00 = 4 week month total $80.00
Weekly inside and out $25.00 = 4 week month total $100.00
Biweekly outside only $25.00 = 4 week month total $50.00
Biweekly inside and out $30.00 = 4 week month total $60.00

If they wanted to do something like do a biweekly outside, then two weeks later they want inside and out, charge $25 and $30 for a total of $55.00 or maybe they want to do 3 weeks of just outer glass and 1 week of outer and inner, or maybe they want to do weekly outside, weekly inside and out, weekly outside and weekly inside and out for the month that would be $90.00 monthly.

You see what I did there? Don’t go in with 1 option, go in with 10-20 options. Your job is to provide a service and make sure your customer is on the correct service.

I always enjoy reading all of these posts, its just good to not feel alone in all this. I wish you the best.

I did the job yesterday for 45$ I should of charged a million$ it took hr’s the windows must of not been cleaned in 2 years or ever.
I steal wills them and Had the scraper out on some
They’ll probably have to pay the 45$ pe week or by weekly. I don’t think for inside and out I could go any lower. But maybe 35$

Thanks @Jacob that’s solid advice!

Congratulations! Don’t be discouraged if takes long at first. Sometimes you would be surprised how long the next cleanings are. I had a store take 4 hours one time because it was post construction clean up. Now it takes 30 minutes in and out. If it’s done more frequently, dirt/pollen/other stuff won’t gather as quick so it will be easier to clean.

I’v cleaned The Nandose 2 times now.
We have had a deal for 45$ by weekly and some times more often.

Excellent! I also offer shop owners a little bit of incentive as far as free advertising from time to time. I will have to do a video on it.

I do a fish and chip shop. The guy had the best idea. He said, get some stickers made with name and phone number. And have on them date clean’d and next clean due date.
