Can anyone tell me why I’m leaving these lines? I thought it could be the dirt on the glass because it’s very dirty, but it was also doing this on a window I had cleaned.
it May be that it’s extra dirty windows. In that case try some steel/ bronze wool and then wash again. I’ve had streak marks when using to much soap before, or using dirty water that needs to be changed out. Cleaning in sunlight requires a bit more speed too, I would stick with one pane at a time. Hope this helps some.
Might be worth changing the rubber even if its new
It’s been doing this for a while now. I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t figure out what. I’ve changed the rubber, used different Liquidators, I’ve even used different poles, etc. Still the same thing.
@Luke, @SteveO, @TheWindowCleanse, do you guys have any idea?
Imo its the channel. I’ve mentioned this to you a few times about these lines. This is one reason @SteveO and I both use an ettore channel in our excelerator.
Your solution is still too watery. Thicken it up by applying more soap straight to your pad. That solution needs to be really stiff.
Good video. Your technique is very good. I know exactly what you are describing.
There is another troubleshoot if that doesn’t work but try the soap first. I noticed at the huge convention that everyone who was trying out the liquidator was using way too watery solution.
@Stoneface i still get lines sometimes. It’s aggravating. Did a house the other day and lines everywhere. Ended up straight pulling with the Excelerator, lol. No lines.
What Luke has done is created a better wagtail- adjustable handle, thicker pad, better clip system. I too revert to wagtail usually. Much easier to use. You’ll never see the Liquidator experts work in full sun and show you their finished work up close. Most of my moerman videos are in good light.
Thanks a lot, guys. I appreciate it.
@TheWindowCleanse, how much soap is the right amount? I used a ton of soap when I got started, but people told me it would leave a haze on the glass and all sorts of other stuff, so I tried to cut it down. I feel silly as can be now because I only saw any sort of “haze” on one glass, but then I saw it again on the glass I had in the video and you saw how thick that solution was. The haze looks like smudges on the window and when I go over it to clean it, it just moves the smudge. It’s crazy. When I have the smudge in front of me and run my rag across it to the left then pick my rag up the smudge will be to the left. They’ll be all over the window, too. Not just in one spot.
