Hey, everyone’s favorite question...what’s your favorite tool?

I have two! 18” Super Channel on a standard ss super channel handle and a 12” Ettore aluminum channel on a Ledge Eze handle

What’s your preferred size?

The 14 is cool for me

I’ve been trying all the different brands. Chanel’s and size’s but there is nothing like the classic brass 16 Ettore channel with their handle.

The 14 use to be my go to, but since spring I mainly just use the 18inch now. It’s tough really getting down closing out on the sides on narrow windows but once you get it down Its pretty effortless. I use the stainless in the tool just to keep the weight down. But the brass channels are some of my favorite, especially for hand tools. They are balanced perfectly for me.

I don’t know if it’s my imagination but dose haer dresse salons seem to destroy my tools.
I did one the other and the tools don’t seem to perform as good. Chang rubbers and wash the washer?

Yes!! Lol they do. We usually always change out our sleeves after a hair salon. Those little hairs get all over everything!

Hey guys I’m brand new here ! And brand new to window cleaning. Can anyone tell me what basic essentials im gonna need ? @Luke I’m digging the videos. They’re very informative. I’d like to have a belt setup like you and the wife are using !

Reanna do you have to prep the towel in someway for use? I recall hearing something about this once.

No just wash it before you first use it and it’s good to go. A lot of people suggest cutting it and rehimming it to a smaller size but I like that its larger

Does anyone use a 24 ft extension on residential? I am thinking about switching over to one on residentials I routinely clean. Would appreciate the thoughts and advice

I mostly just use the wfp now. But if I have to I use my Werner 26.

Hey @Luke, this would be for inside the home. So much furniture in the home with the vaulted ceiling. I was curious if a 24ft extension would be best? This is for a clean every 3 months.

Idk …probably stacks would be best for interior to be honest. But I think the extension ladder would be just fine.

My two favorite tools, first is my cell phone. It is capable of bringing in millions of dollars of business, and also helping me find people so one day I can step back if I wanted and make this business a passive income.

My second is a great attitude. Attitude is key and foundation and will set you apart from other cleaners. It can also substitute for lack of closes. Even if your competitors are better than you, if you have rapport with your customers, you ultimately win versus the competitors who are better than you. Also your prices can be set higher you can still win the bid.

Now for window cleaning, I really like the Ettore brass channels with the Ledge Ez. I will be trying out the 10 inch Excelerator because they are impressive on extension poles with the 14 inch I have. 18" super channel on a Unger Ninja handle is my go to with just a Tiger sleeve on a Unger T Bar. 18 foot portable ladder is your best friend if you only have a sedan to fit it in. It will scratch the inside of your car but if its an older car, you can have great handling, great gas mileage and can have a ladder. 18 foot I find works for most second story homes. If the 2nd story is higher, then it becomes an issue which is why you can fit your WFP and tank in the car too.

Favorite Pole:

Unger Optiloc 14 footer

Sorbo California Dream Pole 3 Footer.

Sorbo California Dream Pole 8 Footer. (w/modified end/ wood tip/ it still moves and you have to crank on the knurl to get super tight to get it right)

Favorite squeegee:

Feel/Weight = Ettore Brass
Pole Work = Moerman Excelerator with FLiQ
Speed = Wagtail Highflyer (In hand or pole, pole looses to FliQ due to not being able to zero out and using the goose neck)
Off Road Ability for uneven panels = Sorbo (Quicksilver or Cobra) Lots of tongue on these.
Tie/ Store Front = Sorbo 24" and Ettore 18" super channel ( I like the handle on the Ettorre better than the Sorbo)

Scraper: ( Don’t matter used Triumph and Unger probably Unger) Triumph blades win here (Red or Black box)

Mop/ Two hand method : Moreman for insides, and Ettore porcupine for outside residential, Ettore is cheap and scrubs well/ well made. Ettore Pro mop for screens.

T-Bar: Unger Ninja due to the locking mechanism.

Bucket on belt: Gunslinger, good bucket holds a lot of different stuff.

Runner up: Bull Rings are a must have and last forever, they hold my sprayer/rags/cutups well.
