Help with equipment reviews and likes/dislikes

I got an order in with some Super Channels which I freaking love, a cone for my pole, a Moerman pole, a Ettore bucket (not BOAB) and a few other things. My question is about the pole and bucket. They’re terrible. The bucket has a crack in the lid and the lid is harder than heck to put on the bucket, it’s is hard to manage, etc. The pole just does a terrible job. I mean just terrible. The handle was pretty nice, but the pole keeps spinning on me when I put it to a window. I tried tightening it, but it keeps spinning.

First Question: What is the deal with buckets? Which ones do you like or dislike? I was thinking about getting the Moerman bucket and should have asked for references on here first, but didn’t. Can you put the Ettore bottom grate and channel cradles in a Moerman bucket?

Second Question: Are all poles essentially the same or is there some difference to them? I like the skinniest pole I can find and like a pole where you have to actually turn the pole to tighten it, not turn some fixture that’s on the pole. Is there any that anyone would recommend?

1 - still in my first bucket after 5 years. Pulex 22 litre. Bucket is a bucket.

2 - I use a Gardiner CLX 8 hand pole, closed length is 107cm, opens up to 261cm. 3 part extension with super easy locking clips.

A Unger aluminum pole should work fine. And I use an ettore bucket.

I know it. I liked the way it looked in your videos then saw all of the accessories that go with it, so thought it would be a good choice. I just don’t like it.

Well maybe try an ettore then. I use a carbon fiber trad pole with an Unger tip 90% of the time. But unfortunately it’s not something you can buy as of yet.

Ettore makes a fixed pole 5’ or so. It is good for regular store front cleaning and is inexpensive. What’s nice is that you don’t have to worry about collars and pole tips, etc…
