Hey guys, I have called GoPro countless times and have gained zero ground. Could someone please explain to me why my GoPro videos that are saved in 1080p at 30fps are looking like garbage on Facebook when I upload them? I have all the HD settings on Facebook turned on. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, the videos look amazing on my Mac and my phone, but once I upload to social media it goes downhill. @Luke, or anyone for that matter could point me in the right direction I’d be forever grateful!
We have experienced some of our video quality on fb has gone down once uploading it. Also have you allowed the video to be there for a while? Sometimes it will improve after completing the processing
I have one video that has been there for over a week, and another that has been there for two days. The quality hasn’t gone above 640. I did discover that if you create the clip using the Quik app and airdrop it to your mac it will upload that way, but you are limited on editing.
Are you sure you’re exporting the videos in 1080?
You must film in 1080, render in 1080. When you produce in your editing software, make sure it is rendering in 1080.
Or, upload to YT and share link on FB.
Thanks for chiming in
Thank you gentlemen! I should just not use the 4K setting on my GoPro when recording. I downloaded my videos to my desktop and they uploaded in HD to social media that way.
Could you guys recommend any good user friendly software for editing besides the GoPro app and a place where I can get music to add to those videos without copy right issues?
Adobe.

Music
google “non copyright music”
4k - 1080/60 is very good quality and easier on your processor, thus easier on you to work with. No viewer will notice the difference.
