French Panes in House

I’ve got a request to quote a house that has several, several French panes. Not a number that would make your mouth drop, but definitely a number that makes you not want the job. I’ve not done these on a house yet. My question is how much do you charge for one French pane and how do you adjust your pricing on them? For example, do you just charge one flat rate if it’s 2" x 2" or 2 foot x 1 foot or do you adjust your price accordingly?

They are real, authentic French panes. Not faux French panes.

I start at $1 per pane, depending on the size. So, if 12 panes on the window set, $12 for that window. If they’re larger than the typical French panes, I might increase the price some.

How much do you typically charge for a regular window? I’ve been thinking about it and don’t see how it adds up. If you charge $1 per Pane and you have, say, 10 panes in a window then you have $10 window. Right now I’m charging $10 to do interior, exterior, window seals, frames end screens.

Our starting price in my area is around 1.45 each pane I/O. You could start out less though, that’s just what we charge. They can add up quickly, we’ve done some homes well over a thousand dollars.

Well each size window is priced differently, I know a lot of window cleaners price a bit different from each other but many times come out to have very similar prices in the end. If you want to show some pics, I don’t mind to share my pricing. Also, I recently came across an older video that Luke made about pricing residential. He broke it down really well.

When I last was cleaning out in the field, $0.75 per pane side on frenchies. So if there were 12 pc’s of glass, $9 on the outside, $9 on the inside. Back in 2013. I’d be $1 per pane side, today probably.
