I was watching this video after looking everywhere for something about what to do for drips when you’re using a pole to squeegee and can’t catch them with the mop. I’ve been practicing at a laundromat and the other day I went to the inside. It has tall windows I can’t get the top of, so I use a pole. I use a ton of soap, but I was using a mop that was so “dry” I felt like the window wouldn’t get clean enough for me, but it was raining down incredibly bad. If I would have been above furniture or a carpet it would have made a terrible, terrible mess.
Do you just use a drop cloth or is there some other technique you can use to get around it? Is it different for houses than commercial?
@Stoneface Add a drop cloth/towel if required but also consider adding more solution to your water and it should hold up on the glass longer without just rolling straight off.
Only draw down too head height when using the pole and then use your mop below your squeegee while fanning to catch all the water. Clean up with a towel, mop or sponge and then detail the edges of the glass with a blue surgical cloth/scrim as necessary. ️ Have fun
For commercial we let the drips fall. Now if its around desks or in an office type setting you would need to be more careful. Like @Lewsqueegee said
Other than that yes we use a drop cloth. Some guys say using your fliq pad on the excelerator on the bottom instead of on the top will help prevent drips but i didnt find it any more helpful
