Dealing with bad reviews

So, I randomly just get a one star review on Google from someone I haven’t worked with or even spoken to as far as I’m aware. Is there a way to really deal with this so it doesn’t drop my rating?

Wow! I just search the guys name, and he is apparently a local competitor. That is low. “ Basic window and carpet cleaning” Elizabethton, TN

As long as you can prove you have had no contact with this person, you could file a lawsuit against them for lible and defamation. You can force them to take down the review and require a public apology.

You can request statistics from Google to see how many people in your area have seen the review and the attorney can use this to determine how many potential clients you have lossed and determine any financial restitution.

Eh…I don’t feel like it’ll be that big a deal to persue it that far. His girlfriend actually just called me back, she was shocked about it. I’m giving her time to talk to him before I do anything.

I would flag the review immediately. Respond to the review very professionally. Let them know that you dont have their name in your customer list and you would love speaking with them to get this resolved. Email Google’s support and let them know there has been a mistake.

Yeah that’s pretty much how I responded. I try to keep everything as professional as I can. I’ll try flagging it, thanks!

Lol! So, last night I called the biz # that I found for this guy, nobody answered (after hours) his fiancé called back, said he wasn’t there, I assumed he wouldn’t want to call me back so I told her what happened, was as nice as I could be to her, and he calls this morning backpedaling like he had no idea what happened. And now I have another 5stars! Lol!
