Cleaning vinyl covered windows

So here in Vegas there are a ton of windows that are 100% covered by vinyl decals and some that are 100% covered but perforated. Do you guys still offer to clean these, if so is the process the same as normal glass ? Do you charge differently ? Also does anyone here offer the removal of these vinyls as well ?

Thanks !

We don’t offer cleaning the perforated signs, we have found they become brittle and can be damaged if they are messed with too much. We have removed them before. We used a razor and steel wool.

Nobody in Germany cleans the windows with steel wool. I don’t know why. I am over 20 years in this business and saw the first time that the guys in the USA use steel wool for window cleaning. I try it and this is a no-brainer. Thank you, Luke!

No i did not. Is there a difference again?

I always used a wfp to clean the signs. Does a great job. Most all fast food restaurant use them.

We clean a few store fronts with perforated coverings, you have to dry them with a towel to get the water out of the holes, other then that we mop and sqeegee windows-I did research from company that installs the graphic before we started cleaning

Same here, I tried mopping and squeegeeing the perforated window vinyl but I had to towel dry the holes to get the water off. I’m interested if someone has a better way??? I love to learn

I just have my guys take the extra step and dry the windows to keep the account- a few extra seconds is better then no job

This is a good topic. Alot of eyeglasses shops have perferated vinyl signs here. I have come across some where the water was not cleaned up and the owners were mad because of the water marks from the inside were able to be seen.

The indoor kit is fast to dry them. I like the longer microfiber for this job
