Bronze wool vs Steel wool

Does anyone know if 0000 steel wool is comparable to Fine bronze wool as far as the abrasiveness?

Luke has a great video on this exact subject:

I agree with Luke in the video that 0000 steel wool is a bit more abrasive than fine bronze wool but of course the steel wool will rust in time so just keep an eye out on that and change it out. I do use both at times. Just depends on what the job needs.

I always have some steel wool in my cleaning kit, glad it’s super cheap cuz it does start to rust very shortly after you get it wet. One pad usually gets me through an average sized house though.

Thank you Toadyfatz for pointing me to Luke’s video. It answered the additional question on the white pad as well.

Glad it helped !

You gotta get the GMT brand 0000 steel wool pads. They last me all day without rusting.

I’ll have to look into that, I just get the 0000 wool pads from Lowe’s, most of the time they will last me all day, but when they don’t, at least they’re cheap!

It’s always worth trying something new though. Where do you get that brand?

I get them at abc window cleaning supply. I believe windowcleaner.com has them too
