Blinds

Do any of you guys also clean the blinds? If you do, what are you charging and how are you going about to clean them? I don’t even clean my own blinds. Is it even worth the time to clean the blinds, seems so dang tedious to not charge a good amount for it.

Unfortunately we dont service blinds.

Nope, I get asked this often though. There used to be a company that did ultrasonic blind cleaning around here, but no longer. A lot has to do with the warranty being voided unless you clean them by manufacturers directions. There are some high end blinds out there and a lot of cheap ones too. The expensive ones they don’t want you to ruin them by how you clean them or void warranty, the cheap ones you could almost replace them for the cost to clean them. Anyways, we never even talked about doing blinds, just didn’t appeal to us.

We prefer them to the local Blind Doctor in our area. Some maid services will also do this service.

Thanks for the responses guys, I’m thinking i’m just going to stick to windows and what not, seems too tedious to do them.

Check this website and see if there is a cleaner in your area. Might be worth a referral fee… Good luck!

Occasionally if a client requests 1-5 blinds cleaned with their window cleaning service then we will give them a price based on how long it takes us to wipe 1 set down (wet wip with a blue surgical scrim dipped in your wc bucket to clean them up followed by a quick wipe with a microfibre to dry them. Usually it takes less than 10min so $10/$15 per blind is suffice. This will average to $60/$90 per hour which works out fair for you and the client.
If they have more to do then it usually works out cheaper for them to use a specialist blind cleaner.
So if just a small amount it is viable to clean them but if a large amount it is better to refer them to a reputable service provider who can return the favour and refer you w.c work.
