Biweekly and Monthly Quote

Hey guys,

I need a little help with these windows. They are taller panes and have the occasional merchandise on the inside making it a little difficult to access on the inside. What do you think for interior and exterior both biweekly and monthly?

I was thinking 140-165 for biweekly and 200 for monthly. Also any thought on an initial clean fee?

Located in NC where prices are on the average to higher end.

Thanks for the help!

Personally I don’t up my prices until it gets past monthly.
Seems like a big jump from bi-weekly to monthly.
It looks like about 1 1/2 job…maybe 30 minutes for outside, hard to tell inside, depends on how much stuff is in the way…guessing an hour.

So figure out what you want to make an hour. 200 seems high to me but that’s just my opinion…

That seems really high for route work. It would no sale in my route area. I tried counting panes but was not sure what photos were the same from different angle.

I have to agree with Johnlee…maybe you could explain your quote and what your thinking.
You can absolutely fly on that outside…I bet you could get it down to 20 minutes. You can really build speed on those big panes with no frames in between them. That type of glass is how I learned to wash and squeegee at the same time.

Are you using that milk crate as a step ladder? If so you might want to get a short pole and you could run through that job in an hour or so.

For inside and outside I think it would be worth $80 bi-weekly, $120 per month. But, depending on what your competition is, your workload and anything else, I would go as low at $40 bi-weekly, $60 per month. These prices are assuming you have tables in front of the windows and have to move the shelves with the black backs on them. It desn’t look bad at all, so I don’t think it would need an initial clean outside of just cleaning it like you usually would. I would skip the initial clean unless you have to break out the steel wool or scraper.

I usually price a given amount for weekly or bi-weekly or monthly then increase every step up by 50-percent. So, if I had a store for just weekly I may charge $20, but bi-weekly I increase it by 50-percent to $30 and monthly up 50-percent from that to 45-dollars then every month after that I typically charge an additional “surcharge” I guess you could say. So I may charge $10 per month extra and if they want it done every three months it would be $10 for each of the months past the first month plus the $45 for a total of $65.

Take anything you hear from me with a grain of salt. This is how I do it, but I’m a newbie too.

Thank you everyone for your input. I think I will reduce the price I am thinking about using. I agree that the time shouldn’t be that long for this job. I really appreciate the help and hints you all provided.

How many windows are there? Looks like maybe 50 with some really large panes?

I think your original estimate wasn’t bad. If just be sure to emphasize that inside is where accessible.

And I’d give them an outside only option where I clean the doors inside and out but everything else is outside only.

Its 29 panes and 6 doors inside and out. I didnt mention to them the outside only with the occasional inside clean as needed. Its a big gas station where people really arent touching glass except for the booths in Dairy Queen. I sent the quote but havent heard anything back yet. I may have to call them.
