Where in Idaho are you @Cashman? I’m in the southeast and it can get pretty chilly here, so far this year it has been pretty mild. How about your area?

So south east is that Idahofalls?

Yeah, I’m here in Idaho Falls. I’m slowly opening a window cleaning business. I have a full time job at the moment, but if things start to take off, I’ll become my own boss. Are you in the Nampa area then? I saw you are from Alaska originally, what brought you to Idaho?

I am in Caldwell, I left the trucking industry and jumpes on the opportunity for window cleaning. H2Oasis Window Cleaning. 4 seasons and more sunlight down here. Plus alot more affordable living

I can understand cost of living, I used to live in Washington state, taxes is mad there, not to mention cost of living. I can’t blame you for leaving the trucking industry, I personally don’t like to sit all day. I wish you the best of luck with your business!

Right now, we’re at 10. It’s been colder, it’s not too bad when it isn’t windy. I’m not busy at all right now. I’m trying to get businesses and what not, but they aren’t really wanting it done. However, I’m still working my day job, so I don’t get out as much to canvass. Glad your’re keeping busy though!

I feel ya on always looking for more work. Kee at it Andrew. Look me up on FB if you have a account.

Here is a valuable tip. The past couple of days have been hectic, phone is starting to ring for storefront cleanings. I spent most of January canvassing handing out business cards to everywhere. Nothing for the whole month. Cant blame them right? Big holiday just happened. But i started asking what made you call now? They said your the only cleaner that picks up your phone. Our regular guy we do not know where he went. It seems simple right phone rings you pick up? But when things get tough and they do. Keep pluggin away. Knock on as many doors as possible, and at the right time your phone will ring. Keep it up everyone! Squeegee On

That’s actually one of the things that helps me get and keep a good number of my residential clients. They are shocked when they can actually get me on the phone to start with, even more shocked when I call back when I say I will or show up on time. With any business venture, clear communication is key!! Plus, I always save my clients contact info in my phone and label them as a clients (because I can’t remember names of everyone) then when they call again for their next cleaning I answer “well how are you doing today Mrs. Jones” they see that I know them and they love it. Lol!!
