Websites

How important is having a website? I currently have my google page up and a FB page, I’m just wondering what your thoughts are on having a website for people to visit. What are your thoughts?

A website isn’t needed, but it adds legitimacy to your brand (if it’s on brand).

If you are able to market your website effectively and you have a form on it, it’s also a way for your customers to put in quote requests while you’re sleeping without having to go find them.

It can also serve as a document portal so you can point people to your policies on cancellations or guarantees.

From your site you can set up a blog/mailing list which is quite valuable to your business because everyone who signs up is a lead who will see your name whenever you write a newsletter/blog/etc.

I would say a website is most valuable because it allows you to go more paperless and automates part of your marketing efforts.

I went for many years without one but that was the era of yellow page ads etc. I would not go without one now. I get a large portion of our jobs from the website. Also my first website I did myself but when I went with a company (Nice Job) the site and traffic was noticeably better. I think the target market uses the internet to find our services in our day and time. JMO

I was using FB and still slightly maintain a presence there but since I built my site back in Nov I think, I’ve seen a difference already. Now that we’re getting back into season, I’m excited to see what it does for my business! I highly recommend it!
